Hyundai Tucson 2025: What to Expect from the Refreshed Compact SUV – The Hyundai Tucson is one of the most popular small SUVs on the market because it looks good, has a roomy cabin, and comes with fuel-efficient engine choices. The newest version came out for the 2022 model year. That being said, Hyundai is already planning a mid-cycle update for the 2025 model year. So far, this is what we know about the new 2025 Hyundai Tucson.
What’s New for 2025?
There will be some small changes to the outside and inside of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson, as well as some new technology features. The changes are based on the Tucson that was shown in Europe in November 2023. The U.S. version is likely to be similar to the European version.
Design: Exterior and Interior
The 2025 Hyundai Tucson will still have its unique look, with a sleek head and daytime running lights built in. Hyundai says that the bumpers and fake skid plates on the front and back of the SUV have been stretched to make it look bigger. Besides that, the wheels and hood will look different.
There will be bigger changes on the inside of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson, especially on the dashboard. The Tucson will have two screens, one 12.3-inch display for the entertainment system and the other for the instrument panel. There will be a new parcel box that can hold small things and an infotainment screen on top of it. The instrument panel will be behind a new steering wheel.
You can now set the temperature and play music with real buttons, which is the best change inside. The current Tucson has touch-sensitive features that aren’t very quick or easy to use. The 2025 Tucson will also have a new switch that is placed on the column instead of a button.
There is still no official word on what engine choices the 2025 Hyundai Tucson will have in the United States. Still, we think they’ll be about the same as the ones we have now. A 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque is the base engine. It comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
A 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque is the other choice. It comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The internal combustion engine in both of the hybrid models is the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. Still, the electric drives and batteries are different. The standard hybrid makes 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque all together. On the other hand, the plug-in hybrid makes 261 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque altogether. It comes stock on both hybrids to drive all four wheels.
Release Date and Price
The 2025 Hyundai Tucson should go on sale in Europe early in 2024. Later that same year, it will be available in the United States. We think that the base model will cost around $29,000, the hybrid model around $34,000, and the plug-in hybrid model around $40,000. The prices have not been announced yet.
With its updated style, technology, and fuel economy, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson will be a strong rival in the small SUV market. You might want to keep an eye on the new Tucson if you want a stylish, roomy SUV that is fantastic value for money.
