2024 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid, Rumors – A new hybrid and a plug-in hybrid version of the Hyundai Tucson have been unveiled to further the Korean brand’s commitment to environmentally friendly and advanced automobiles. The Tucson is Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle and the company’s second hybrid SUV after the Sante Fe. To achieve combined outputs of up to 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the HEV and the PHEV are equipped with the same 1.6-liter inline-4 engine. The PHEV’s 13.8-kWh battery pack and charging capabilities set it apart from the HEV, achieving combined mileage equivalents of 70 MPGe and a range of 33 miles on electric power alone. The Tucson PHEV and hybrid bring many eco-friendly, high-efficiency traits to the table over the standard Tucson. The original’s sleek design, roomy interior, and high ratings for both safety and durability have been carried over to the newer models.
