However, the standard engine can pull up to 2,000 pounds, while the turbo-four powertrain can haul 3,500 pounds.
The standard engine is abysmal and runs out of gas rapidly when pushed to the limit in terms of performance. On the other hand, a cracker would be a more accurate description of the turbo-four engine. But its dual-clutch gearbox, which jerks at low speeds while attempting to shift into the highest gear on the freeway, is a major stumbling block. It’s time for Hyundai to either retune this transmission or replace it with the eight-speed gearbox found in the primary engine. The conventional engine takes 8.9 seconds to get the 2024 Santa Fe from 0-60 mph, while the turbo-four cuts that time down to roughly 6.0 seconds.
