2024 Hyundai Santa Fe EV Redesign, Interior, Price

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe EV Redesign, Interior, PriceThis year’s Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is the Korean manufacturer’s first attempt at a hybrid SUV, a two-row midsize crossover currently in its fourth generation in the United States. You can’t deny that the Santa Fe Hybrid, Hyundai’s second generation of its midsize hybrid SUV, is a big step forward in cutting down on its carbon footprint and educating buyers about the environmental benefits of their cars.

In terms of horsepower, the new Santa Fe Hybrid SUV is slightly more potent than the new Toyota Venza hybrid, but it’s also around the same as its Kia Sorento hybrid cousin. On the other hand, the new Toyota competitor is the more fuel-efficient of the two. The Santa Fe has a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. Let’s see if Hyundai’s well-balanced SUV can benefit from electricity.

Hybrid Redesign for the Hyundai Santa Fe in 2024

The Santa Fe and the Palisade are based on the same design concepts. The Hyundai Santa Fe is a visually appealing midsize SUV. Some may find its mouth too broad, but I think the split-level headlamps and numerous silver trim elements on the lower half of the body work well. It’s handsome enough to elicit a few compliments without going overboard in the style department, which is more in Tucson’s wheelhouse. Now that hybrids are available in practically all Hyundai models, you won’t find any brightwork indicating electrification; it’s much like any other crossover.

The inside of the Santa Fe Hybrid is noticeably more luxurious. The heated and cooled leather seats are both comfortable and supportive. The overall build quality is excellent, with soft materials covering all important contact areas. The front-door speaker grilles’ textured surface may be my favorite feature. My limited-trim tester costs $41,290 plus $1,185 for the destination, which is in line with the average price of a new car in 2024, but families will feel like they’ve gone up a notch.

Interior

The inside features a revised center stack and console design, ambient lighting options, and a one-half cubic foot increase in the back cargo capacity. With features like a cyclist and junction-turning recognition, parking collision avoidance aid with a reverse function, highway drive assistance, lane following service, and navigation-based intelligent cruise control with road curve control, the Santa Fe has become a safer vehicle overall. However, not all of these features are included in every trim level. A new 10.25-inch widescreen navigation display with an eight-inch audio display will be available in 2024. A 12.3-inch cluster display, wireless phone charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless operation, and a Harman Kardon sound system are some of the new features that have been added.

The Santa Fe Hybrid has a load capacity that few other vehicles in its class can match. You’ll get 72.1 cubic feet of space behind the seats if you fold down the second row. The seating capacity is five in this Hyundai. Getting in and out of this SUV is simple, and both rows of seats offer considerable headroom and legroom. Additionally, the centers provide excellent support and cushioning.

Engine

Santa Fe hybrid engines are turbocharged four-cylinder engines with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid has 261 horsepower, compared to 226 for the classic combination. Although it’s not a supercar, the Hyundai Elantra feels refined and comfortable in most driving situations. The engine’s electric-to-gasoline power conversion is seamless, which is not often the case.

Hyundai’s fuel efficiency figures are a little lower than those of other hybrid SUVs in its class. When it comes to city/highway fuel economy, the Santa Fe Hybrid Blue gets 36 mpg, while the other two models get 33 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively. A combined city and highway driving range of 76 MPG-equivalent under electric power, but only 33 MPG-equivalent under gasoline power, is achieved by plug-in hybrid vehicles. PHEV Santa Fe models can go 30 miles on electric power before reverting to the gasoline engine. The battery can be charged entirely in around four hours using a 240-volt hookup.

When will the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid be out in 2024?

The starting price of the Santa Fe Hybrid is $33,750. Several rivals have lower beginning prices, although this is not ordinary for the class. With a starting price of $39,350, the Hyundai Santa Fe plug-in hybrid may be yours. At $40,160, you can have a conventional hybrid Santa Fe Hybrid Limited and $45,360 for a plug-in hybrid. There are few class rivals with more expensive top trims, but this Hyundai isn’t far from surpassing many of them in the price range.
